The Crossing Backpackers are based in National Park in the Central North Island. The area is a very popular destination in the winter for skiers and in the summer months for the Tongariro Alpine Crossing.

With the destination in mind we created this website to reflect the region as a ‘Have fun in the summer” and “Have fun in the winter” theme. We felt that it was important to highlight the destination ahead of the product for the backpacker market and highlight how The Crossing Backpackers can be used as a key base to launch a traveller’s alpine experience.

The Crossing Backpackers have a few onsite activities so we had to incorporate these in the website and produce a site that showed it to be the best place to stay and play in the Tongariro National Park.
